From Ephesus to Istambul, you can customize your tour of Turkey to emphasise the parts of history most related to your subject of study. Day 1: Arrival at Istanbul Airport. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: ISTANBUL. Full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul including the Hippodrome , Blue Mosque , St. Sophia. Lunch will be offered in the historic Konyali Restaurant at Topkapi Palace. Afternoon continue visit of Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 3: ANKARA-CAPPADOCIA. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Ankara. Upon arrival, start city tour of Ankara including Anatolian Civilizations Museum and the Mausoleum of Ataturk. After lunch in Ankara, drive to Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 4: CAPPADOCIA. Full day tour of Cappadocia, including the Valleys of Goreme and Zelve Underground City of Kaymakli and Avanos. Lunch will be offered in a local restaurant. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 5: PAMUKKALE. Early departure for Pamukkale. On the way, visit to the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai and arrival in Konya. Lunch. After visiting the Mausoleum of Mevlana, the world-wide famous mystic, proceed to Karatay Theological School in which beautiful tiles are on display. Drive to Pamukkale and overnight.

Day 6: HIERAPOLIS-KUSADASI. After breakfast, visit to the ancient city of Hierapolis with the theatre, Apollo Temple and magnificent Necropolis, graveyard. Then drive to Aphrodisias, the city of Aphrodite. After lunch visit the site and the museum. Finally drive to Kusadasi. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 7: EPHESSUS. Morning tour to Ephessus area with Ephesus City & Agora, Virgin Mary's House, Ephesus Museum in Selcuk and St. John Church. Lunch in Selcuk and drive back to the hotel. Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 8: BERGAMA-ASSOS. Early departure for Bergama and visit of the Asclepion sanctuary, Acropolis with the well preserved remains & theatre. Lunch and drive to Assos for a short visit to the village. Overnight in a simple but cosy hotel in Assos.

Day 9: TROY-CANAKKALE-GALLIPOLI-ISTANBUL. After breakfast drive to Troy, the place where the legendary Trojan War took place as mentioned in the 'Illiad' by Homer. After visiting the site with nine inhabitation layers covering a period of 3000 years, drive to Canakkale. Lunch en route. Thereafter, sail to the other side of Dardanelles by a ferryboat and drive to Istanbul with visit to Gallipoli. Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 10: BOSPORUS. Full-day Bosporus cruise and visit to Asian side of Istanbul including lunch in a sea-food restaurant. Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 11: Transfer to airport for departure.
